Teater Kompilasi Volume 1

Lakukan apa yang termampu,

Bukan semua nasi habis dimakan,
Bukan semua perlawanan habis dengan kemenangan,
Bukan semua kehidupan berakhir dengan kebahagiaan.

Last two days, my whole family went to see a theatre called Teater Kompilasi Vol. 1. Initially we went there to support my brother, Bob but we ended up liking it. It's a play with 4 stories;

TERUK, POKOK KELAPA SAYANG, TAMBAT KAKI and STABIL.

Directed by 4 different directors but with the same theme, KUASA / POWER, this play forced the audience to think the hidden message in each of the stories. From my interpretation, the message was to make the audience understand how some powers can influence our life and the decision that we make everyday. Sometimes these powers (love, hate, influence and opression) can lead to nasty decision and followed by action that can destroy our life and worse, people that we love. Overall, I think it's a brilliant effort. In his effort to bring out fresh talents, Nam Ron managed to create a new wave among the youngsters. Surprisingly half of the audience were younger generations (I'm not that old eh..).

And below are details about the theatre if u're interested.. But please don't expect to see something like Puteri Gunung Ledang. All 4 of the directors were freshly graduated from ASWARA (Akademi Seni Kebangsaan.. Errr.. Ye ke Bob? Dah tukar? No?). This play can be considered as an early effort to showcase their scriptwriting skill. But to me, they've done beyond our expectation. So, jom support our theater! And u better hurry coz this Sunday is the last show and yesterday full house!

Owh! By the way, Sherry (one of the actress), if u happen to read this, superb performance! (Takkan nak puji adik sendiri kan?? ;>)
